There are several ways to clean a keyboard. If you are just
clogged with dust, hair and various other particles, you can use a screwdriver
to remove a few keys on each side of the keyboard and then use the can of
compressed air to blow out all the lost particles keyboards.
So be warned - it's hard to pry large keys as arrow keys and
the space-bar without breaking them, so you probably should stick to the
smaller keys. To delete a key easily, pry up gently until the keys are
released.
If " sticky stuff " was spilled on the keyboard or
some keys are in some way obstructed or sticking after he tried to use the
method of cleaning up the keyboard, your next option is to remove the screws
from the back of the completely remove the keyboard and keypad.
After removing the plastic trim around the keyboard, simply
remove all the keys on the front of the keyboard (much easier now) and take a
damp cloth and wipe the plastic cover plate inside the keyboard and the key
supports.
A keyboard that is used by several people, such as students
or different employees may need to be disinfected to help prohibit the spread
of germs.
To achieve this, turn off the computer. Spray a disinfectant
onto a cloth or dampen a cloth with alcohol and rub each of the keys on the
keyboard.
Of course, never spray any liquid on the keyboard.
But keyboards are cheap. If you are a PCdoctor always have one
or two for sale.
